Macht Ohne Mandat

Doors open: 6:00 PM
Event starts: 6:30 PM
Get-together: 8:00–9:00 PM
The event will be in German.
Within the business world, alliances are formed with representatives of authoritarian regimes who influence political decision-making—without public oversight and beyond any democratic mandate. This event sheds light on how financial and influence networks operate in Berlin and beyond, drawing on investigative insights and first-hand accounts from politics and business. We will examine the consequences for democratic processes through concrete, evidence-based examples, and explore possible solutions: greater transparency, effective compliance measures, limits on lobbying power, and a renewed understanding of political responsibility.
Why you should attend:
- Exclusive insights into real cases, revealing the mechanisms at work and the key actors involved.
- A strong focus on practical solutions and actionable tools.
- The goal is to develop a clearer understanding of how power operates—and to identify concrete steps for strengthening democratic resilience.
