FINISSAGE

Poetry Reading 6:30 – 7:30pm
The exhibition “If There Is Tension” closes with an evening of poetry, bringing together Writers Nina Hanz and Hilary White for a reading that extends the exhibition’s reflection on voice, memory and what remains suspended between presence and disappearance.
The reading will offer a final moment of encounter, allowing words to circulate through the exhibition space as the project draws to a close.
Nina Hanz is a Berlin-based writer. Her work traverses poetry, nature writing, art writing and (eco)feminist inquiry to explore gothic atmospheres and animate landscapes. She is the author of Placeholders (Bottlecap Press, 2022) and Mycoglossia, co- written with Fiona Glen (Haverthorn Press, 2022).
Hilary White is a writer and researcher based in Berlin, where her postdoctoral project Forms of Sleep: Literary Experiments in Somnolence is currently being supported by the Humboldt Foundation. She is the author of Holes (Ma Bibliothèque, 2024), The Visual Novel: Christine Brooke-Rose, Ann Quin, Brigid Brophy (Edinburgh University Press, 2025) and a co-editor of Gestures: A body of work (Manchester University Press, 2025). A new novel, Productivity, is in the works.
