JILL KIDDON (*1987 Silver Spring, USA) is based inBerlin. She studied at the State Akademie of Fine Arts Karlsruhe (D) where she finished her studies as Meisterschülerin of Marijke van Warmerdam in 2014.
Kiddons practice includes sculpture and installation. Her work is based on the notion that the environment and humans, as part of this environment are in a state of mutual influence and in a process of ongoing reconfiguration.
Jill Kiddon has received artist fellowships by the Arts Foundation Baden-Württemberg and most recently, received a Neustart Kultur stipend of the Art Foundation Kunstfonds.
LUCIA KEMPKES (*1988 Xanten, Germany) is based in Berlin. She studied Biology and Philosophy (2007 – 2011) at Freie Universität Berlin and continued to study Fine Arts at Universität der Künste Berlin and School of Visual Arts in New York (2008 – 2014).
She is interested in our emotional attachment to landscape and mobility. In her works, she uses materials and images to speculate about the ways we might change, or stay the same forever. She creates large-scale installations that interlace techniques such as drawing, sculpture, carpet knotting, and video.
She was Artist in Residence at institutions such as NANJI by Seoul Museum of Art or Pioneer Works NYC. She has received scholarships as by the Richard Thomas Foundation London, Stiftung Kunstfonds or Berliner Senatsverwaltung Kunst und Europa and won prices such as the Specific Award at the Others Art Fair Torino.
Her work is part of public collections in Berlin, London and Marrakech.
MARU MUSHTRIEVA , b. Kyzyl-Syr, Yakutia, Russia / Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia / since 2006 based in Berlin, Germany. She has a background as an editor, researcher, writer, and performer and studied comparative literature at the Free University Berlin. She worked as a researcher/co-writer for choreographic pieces (Ula Sickle, Begüm Erciyas) and as a guest lecturer in media theory at Academy of Art Berlin Weißensee.
Her text based artistic practice investigates waste politics and post-anthropocene landscapes and histories and how they are embedded in a body.
Recent publications&shows: sync. 2 (2019), Bridge IV (2020), ­ digital literature magazine (2021). Her first book length collection of performative scripts “book of games and services” (2020) was published by Circadian, Berlin.
